Services Provided

Michelle monitors ferals in covered trapsCommonwealth Cats’ attending veterinarians will evaluate each cat admitted into our clinic and will determine the services that are medically appropriate for each cat. Information about the actual services provided to each animal will be provided to the caretaker or trapper upon discharge.

The following services are typically provided to each cat during a Commonwealth Cats Clinic.

  • Examination by a licensed veterinarian
  • Treatment for ectoparasites including fleas, ticks and ear mites
  • Vaccination for Feline Distemper (FVRCP)
  • One-year Rabies vaccination
  • Spay or Neuter Surgery
  • Ear-Tipping (Surgical removal of ¼” from the tip of the left ear)
  • Discharge instructions and recommendations

If additional veterinary care is deemed necessary for an admitted cat, a veterinarian or veterinary technician may recommend the caretaker bring the cat to a full service veterinary hospital for complete care. Please see the Extra Surgery and Care Policy for additional information.
